The Max Keeping Foundation stages only one fundraising event annually to raise the critical funds necessary to help meet the growing community need in our region. Our mission is to help disadvantaged children and their families whose health, emotional, physical and emergency needs for assistance do not meet the criteria for support from other charities.
- Education – Scholarships for young mothers at Youville Centre, Crown wards of the Children’s Aid, teen substance abuse programs and pregnant students at St. Mary’s Home.
- Children’s Camps – Y-Camp, various local day camps , Christie Lake and camps for children with special needs.
- Recreation and Sport – The Max Keeping Foundation is expanding in partnership with the community, to impact more economically disadvantaged children, with a priority to ensuring they have access to sports and recreation including hockey, soccer and football.
- Health and Medical – Medical assistance and medical equipment such as lifts, beds, and specific toys used in therapy.
